Rules of engagement
Wreath Adventures is a nonprofit organization that educates children, teens, and adults on the importance of honoring our history and our heroes. We invite young and old to participate in National Wreath Day on the third Saturday in December to place evergreen wreaths on military graves in our local cemeteries. As a Wreath Adventures participant, community service involves the following:
- Help with counting graves in each participating cemetery
- Education on why we honor veterans and the origins of National Wreath Day
- Help fundraising for Wreath Adventures to purchase wreaths at $15 per wreath
- Help prepare for the receiving and distribution of wreaths
- Promote awareness of the event and find volunteers to place thousands of wreaths
We propel the legacy of our military veterans by educating, honoring, and networking in our communities. We are excited to have children, teenagers, families, Scout Troops, VFWs, schools, and other organizations participate in promoting this event each year.
